The company, Michell Endeavour, will represent the best of the new, the finest of the old, bringing together our entrepreneurial skills and innovations with the respectability and 156-year history of Michell Wool, the country’s oldest and largest exporter of processed Australian wool fibre. It operates manufacturing and processing facilities in Australia and China, together with a network of local agents and business partners.
We believe it will be business as usual, only better.
More importantly for you, you can remain comfortable in the knowledge that you will continue to access wool that is authentically Australian, backed by a legacy of quality and a commitment to full transparency and integrity throughout the supply chain, from farm to fibre, thus ensuring a secure and ethical sourcing pathway.
You will know, too, that your brands will continue to meet growing compliance and certification demands and adhere to some of the world’s most stringent environmental standards as we deal only with Australian wool growers who prioritise animal welfare and land regeneration.
The merger will relate only to wool sourcing, direct buying and brokering activities, with both companies continuing with our existing trading, processing and export operations independently.
An added comfort comes in knowing that both of us will serve on a Michell Endeavour board that will have Michell Wool’s David Michell as Chairman and Managing Director and CEO a fellow Director. Our colleague Warwick Eddington will act as Michell Endeavour’s Chief Financial Officer.
We speak for the team when we say we all look forward to the prospect of building on our strong business relationships as we strive to achieve an even better and brighter future for all parties.
Of course, should you have any questions or wish to discuss this intended development further, please don’t hesitate to contact either of us.
